Connect your e-mail

Forward your Gmail or Google Workspace mail to Anfigo, test it, and send replies from your own address.

Your guests' e-mails can reach the same Inbox as their WhatsApp messages. Your Gmail or Google Workspace mailbox forwards its mail to Anfigo, and each guest e-mail becomes a chat: Anfigo answers it with the same knowledge and the same AI rules, in the same e-mail thread. Everything below is in Integrations → Email.

1. Your Gmail address

Type the address your guests write to and press Save. A mailbox used only for the property works best, because everything that reaches it is forwarded to Anfigo. You can add up to five mailboxes.

2. Forward your mail to Anfigo

The card shows your own forwarding address. Then, in Gmail on a computer:

  1. Press the gear (⚙) and choose "See all settings".
  2. Open "Forwarding and POP/IMAP" and press "Add a forwarding address". Paste your forwarding address, then press "Next", "Proceed" and "OK".
  3. Google sends a code to Anfigo. It appears on the Email card in a moment: type it in Gmail and press "Verify".
  4. Choose "Forward a copy of incoming mail to" your forwarding address and "keep Gmail's copy in the Inbox", then press "Save Changes" at the bottom of the page.

Your Gmail keeps every mail, as before. Once the first mail is forwarded, the card shows Forwarding to Anfigo.

On Google Workspace, your administrator may have switched off forwarding for your domain. If Google's code never arrives on the card, ask them to allow forwarding.

3. Test it

Press Send a test mail. Anfigo sends a mail to your Gmail, and when it comes back through the forwarding, the card says forwarding works. If it hasn't come back in three minutes, check that forwarding is on in Gmail and that no Gmail filter catches it.

4. Send replies from your Gmail

Until you connect it, Anfigo's answers leave from an Anfigo address under your property's name, and guests' replies come back to your Gmail. Press Sign in with Google and Anfigo's answers leave from your own address, with a copy in your Sent folder. Anfigo asks Google only for permission to send mail. It cannot read your mailbox.

A Google screen you may see: until Google verifies Anfigo's app, Google shows a page saying it hasn't verified the app yet. That's expected. Press "Advanced", continue to Anfigo, and leave "Send email on your behalf" ticked.

What happens to your mail

Answering a guest from your own Gmail? Put your forwarding address in Bcc and your answer also appears in the guest's chat. When a guest replies to a mail your team sent, the chat goes to your team first, so Anfigo never answers over you.
